Turkmen wonder tour: Tour 2

Day 1: Ashgabat
On arrival at international airport, the driver will meet you and transfer to a hotel. Get a city tour and visit an ancient “Nisa” (UNESCO World Heritage since 2007). Afterwards visit one of the most imperative cities and the capital of the Parthian Empire governed between the III millennium BC - III millennium AD. In the end of day, we will see the mosque and mausoleum of the late President of Turkmenistan in Gypjak. Night is in a cozy hotel.

Day 2: Ashgabat – Darwaza – Ashgabat
Today is a tour to the National Museum of History and Museum Carpet. Then we will drive to 240km to the Gas Crater – Darwaza located in a small nomadic village Erbent. Everyone will enjoy remaining view of the gas crater. You may have a picnic in BBQ style. Transfer back to Ashgabat. Overnight is in a hotel. 

Day 3: Ashgabat – Mary – Gonurdepe
This day of a tour will start by visiting 5th center of civilization Margush, Gonurdepe. It is located north-east site, just 90 km from Mary city. The pleasing Bronze Age civilization performed here and identified as Margush. It means “lowland”, or from the Greek name of Margiana. It was exposed since the early 1970s by Professor Viktor Sarianidi who was the front-runner of Margiana Archaeological Expedition. The Bronze Age places were found outside the northern edge of the present-day oasis with desert. Climatic change produced the abandonment of the area, which later became the result that the traces of the Bronze Age are well-preserved underneath the desert soils. The Margiana sites have a good relation with those at Bactria, in present-day northern Afghanistan. Sarianidi entitlements that the Bactria, Margiana complex was the chief center of ancient civilization as well as birthplace of Zoroastrianism. In the end of day visit the National History and Ethnology Museum. Night is in a hotel.

Day 4: Mary – Merv – Ashgabat
Start to travel to Ancient Merv. This antique Merv complex is situated at the Great Silk Road. It is one of the largest cities of the ancient world. Generally, it was the capital of Islam lengthways with Baghdad, Cairo and Damascus. Have a guided tour to Gyz Gala, Erk Gala, Soltan Gala, Soltan Sanjar Mausoleum, Ibn Zeid Mausoleum. Drive to Mary city. after excursion, we will drive to Ashgabat city. Rest is in a hotel.

Day 5: Ashgabat
The last day of a tour will start by transferring you to the horse farm. Upon arrival we will find out the famous Ahalteke horses. Try horse riding and relish your tour. Then we will visit the honoring complex and the Russian market. In Russian market you will be awe-struck by its project and diversity of goods as the mix of Russian and Turkmen traditional ornaments. Transfer to a hotel.

Day 6: Flight
Have a safe flight! Good bye.
