Kyrgyz wonder tour: Tour 6

Day 1: Bishkek – Burana – Issyk Kul northern shore – Karakol
Meet your driver at Manas International Airport. The tour will start from transferring you to Issyk Kul Lake. It is the second largest alpine lake in the world of 1608 m above sea level). The lake is named "the pearl of Central Asia". Everyone will have an opportunity to see mountains all around it. On the way you will visit Burana Tower of the 11th century minaret and an open-air museum of Balbals or stone warriors. Drive lengthways the whole northern shore and arrive to Karakol town. We will visit today a place with ancient stone patterns – petroglyphs. In Karakol you will visit the Dungan mosque. One of its highlights is the fact that it was built in a Chinese style without using a metal nail. Here we can also see the old wooden Orthodox Church. Night is in a hotel.
Day 2: Karakol – Altin Arashan – Karakol
In the morning we will travel to the Altin Arashan Gorge by Russian military vehicle. Altin Arashan (“Golden Spa”) gorge is one of the most famed gorges in Karakol because of the Tian-Shan fir trees that grow there. We can also have a picnic in the extremely lovely gorge. Afterwards you will have 1 hour for hiking in the gorge and then back to the town. Night is in a hotel.
Day 3: Karakol – Jeti Oguz – Issyk Kul southern shore – Tamga
Drive to Jeti Oguz gorge. It’s well-known for its red rocks developments that have name Seven Bulls. On the way you can see the Broken Heart Mountain. We will make many photos there and if you want it is possible to go on a top of a mountain for about 20 minutes to see a panorama view of the gorge. There are yurts in the gorge and people can offer you to drink Kumis. It is a national drink that is made of mare’s milk, and it is an alcoholic drink like a beer. We will drive there along the southern shore of Issyk Kul Lake. Rest.
Day 4: Tamga – Kochkor – Kichi Naryn – Naryn
Today travel to Naryn. We will drive laterally the southern shore of Issyk Kul Lake. This is a great idea to see the whole lake. We will have stop in Bokonbaeva village. We will meet a local eagle-hunter who hunts hares and foxes with the help of eagles. In Kochkor village you can get acquainted with a family. They will provide a master class of how our national woolen felt carpets are formed. You even can create your own carpet with them. Travelers will drive lengthwise high mountains to the town of Naryn over attractive Kichi Naryn gorge. Night is in a guesthouse.
Day 5: Naryn – Son Kul
This tour will start by travelling to the second largest lake in Kyrgyzstan – Son Kul Lake. This lake is enclosed by mountains. Also, this is the highest alpine lake in Kyrgyzstan, located at an altitude of 3013 meters above sea level. Kyrgyz nomads usually come here for rest and relaxation as well as uses for a pastureland. Upon arrival, you can discover and experience the pristine nature of the lake and its environs. Overnight is in nomadic collapsible dwellings - yurts.
Day 6: Son Kul – Kyzyl Oi
In the morning you will have free time at Son Kul Lake where you can sightsee nature on your own. We will ride along the lake on a horse, or you can relax the calm atmosphere of the lake side wasteland. On the way you will have an opportunity to communicate with nomads and have a sight into their way of life. Then we will drive to the village of Kyzyl Oi situated right in the gorge. The drive to Kyzyl Oi crosses over one of the most attractive passes, lengthways the top of a mountain. Night is in a home stay.
Day 7: Kyzyl Oi – Bishkek
The last day of a tour will start by driving to the capital of Kyrgyzstan – Bishkek city. The road to the city goes over the southern part of Kyrgyzstan. On the way you can inspire astonishing views of imposing mountains and gorges. Today you will see panoramic views of Tue Ashuu pass which is more than 3000 meters high! This road is considered to be one of the most beautiful in Kyrgyzstan. Bizarre roads, astonishing views, nomads, high mountains; guarantee your memories of Kyrgyzstan will last a lifetime. In Bishkek you will have city tour. It includes visiting Pobeda Square (Victory Square), Duboviy Park (Oak Park), Central Ala-Too Square, the National Arts Museum, National Philharmonic etc. Rest is in a hotel.
Day 8: Bishkek – Airport
In the morning is transfer to airport.
